I was made redundant  and decided to buy a 14ft. x 20ft. polytunnel so that we could continue to extend the vegetable growing season. We have been growing veggies for years, but this will keep us fit and fed through the following weeks and hopefully months. Now as winter approaches the tunnel is almost full. Come follow my journey through the first winter under cover. Please add comments, advise and tips to help me along 🙂

  1. Wow !! What a lot of trouble, guess I’m not a gardener cause I couldn’t do any of he things you do and deal with it.

  2. Eileen….my dear friend. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
You are a gardener when you sow one seed or plant one plant. You do what you can do and that is admirable! Toms,Strawberries and bush beans sound great 🙂

  3. A polytunnel, I can only dream. Almost embarassed by my little attempts when I look at this, and you cannot be that far away either. MM 😔

    • Every little seed becomes a plant…and every year brings new hope and joy of growing our own,no matter how small. I wouldn’t have a tunnel only for being made redundant and now I am in my own happy zone 😉 I live in the western side of Cork City, on the end of the Straight Road on the way to Ballincollig !
